7 North West riders made the early journey over to Ballymena to take part in the first ‘Reliability Trial’ of the 2016 season.
Spirits were high in the A (fast) group but not for long as the pace of the pack picked up with turns on the front to be avoided like the plague. Alan ‘Hulk’ Campbell (puncture) and Micheal Anderson (poor map reading skills) faltered early on and POH took a short cut to the nearest Centra, but the Bradley brothers and Emmett ‘never out’ O’Hara did the team proud working away on the front of the main group coming home after 72 miles with a respectable 22mph average.
Campbell & POH joined up with the B (leisure) group with young Dermot McAteer completing the 62 mile short distance run with a 20mph average.
Declan Ward found a wormhole in space time just outside Doagh, baffling local scientists, with Declan coming in 30 minutes after the tea and sandwiches had been thrown in the waste bin.
